What is Welding Gloves
Arc-welder’s gloves are welding gloves for welding workers. They are fire-resistant and heat-resistant, and can provide workers with safety protection and operating comfort. According to the welding process and the size of the spark splash, it can be roughly divided into two types of welding gloves, namely arc welding gloves and argon welding gloves. The main materials are cow two-layer leather, cow-head layer leather, pigskin, sheepskin and other natural leathers.
Features of welding gloves
(1) Welder’s glove structure: The seam platform of the palm and back of the welder’s glove should be inlaid with clip strips. The striped leather should be chrome-tanned cowhide or pigskin. Edge leather and reinforced village leather should use the same leather as the palm and back of the hand. The width of the reinforced lining is more than 15mm, and the use parts of these leathers are as required in Table 7-17.
(2) Needle code of welder’s gloves: 3 to 4 stitches per centimeter for open thread; 4 to 5 stitches per centimeter for dark thread.
(3) Sewing of welder’s gloves: the hand shape should be right, the seam should be straight and flat, the stitch length should be well-proportioned, and the tightness should be moderate. If broken needles, continuous leakage or skipped stitches are found, repeat stitches or remove defective stitches and re-sew.
